Özlem Avcıoğlu studied for 8 years at German High School and has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University.
Özlem Avcıoğlu had worked for 15 years in leading international advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett, DMBB, Lintas and Ogilvy and was responsible for multinational accounts like P&G, Unilever, Microsoft, Siemens, Kraft, Ford, Fiat and Pfizer. In addition to her practice she also taught advertising in Galatasaray University as visiting professor.
She moved to New York in 2001 where she started to work as a partner and marketing manager of GAD and the International Lifestyle Magazine 34.
She is the owner of travel web site www.travelmodus.com and the design gallery HAAZ based in Istanbul. Since 2006 she has been dividing her time between Istanbul and New York.
Özlem studied photography at NYU and her photographs are published in international magazines. Especially architectural magazines have published her work of architecture.
Özlem is interested in photographing architecture and art around the world and manipulating them according to her own sense of looking. She has around 272K followers on her Instagram account where she shares her travel route.
