What did you most like about the trip? Lush green trees everyhwere, quiet noble culture, open roads, horses, rainforest, chile peppers, banana leaves, Iguana meat, psychedelic mushrooms, mountain vistas, black magic.
Could you share an unforgettable memory about the trip? My unforgettable memory is my trip to Laguna Bacalar, and staying at a 1970’s fantasy themed hotel called Hotel Laguna Bacalar. It’s Surreal, unnecessary, beautifully forgotten, and peaceful.
Your most surprising find during the trip? Convertible Volkswagen Beetles.
Favorite restaurant or food you have tried during your trip? Smoky Steak and Goat Cheese Quesadillas and of course Smoky Beer Sangria.
What is the must tries of the city? Rainforest, horses and tiny haciendas.
Any hidden gems you could whisper to us? Just go.
Would you go back? Currently on the way…
Could you list a few of your favorite finds that you came back with? Spider monkeys, jaguars, pumas, raccoons, anteaters, deer, and wild boar.
Any tips that might be useful to know before going there? Go to the fishing village of Villa Sánchez Magallenes. Eat at Hermanos Escanga.
