For centuries Loden coats kept alpine hunters and herdsmen warm and dry through the harsh Austrian winters. The iconic and versatile, extra-fine woven merino wool fabric was then adopted by noblemen and became alla moda in Italy by the 20th century.

Lodental, by Rome-based designer Andrea Provvidenza, breathes new life into an old legend, with luxury capes and coats in contemporary cuts and bold colors.
