We’re delighted to announce the opening of ESCAPE Craft & Design, Summer ’23 edition, and with it unveil a brand new architectural design, conceptualized by ’74 STUDIO!
As ever, pursuing our passion for art, design, craft, and different cultures, the concept for the new space and store this summer emerges from our love for the extraordinary and daring aesthetic of Italian designer Gabriella Crespi. As are we, Crespi was forever fascinated by faraway lands and cultures, and passionate about travel and discovery. Her great ambition, she once said, was the create ‘a house of the sun’, an environment that radiated warmth, light, and sophistication. With her designs, she did just that, using bamboo and rattan to create clean lines and sensuous forms, achieving glamour with the most natural and humble of materials. A homage to the designer’s work, our space this year follows her footsteps as ‘an ode to bamboo’.
Our very own House of the Sun invites guests into a cabinet of curiosities and a sanctuary that captures the true essence of summer. Once again, we have traveled far and wide to assemble a joyful curation of ready-to-wear, swimwear, jewelry, accessories, design, and handcraft.
