1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I was born in Canada and moved to Antwerp, Belgium, the fashion capital 15 years ago. As a child I loved to sew my own clothes and I started collecting vintage clothing and jewelry from all over the world.
To say I am obsessed with clothing would be an understatement. I started RAE 6 years ago and have not looked back. This is definitely my path.
2. What does ”escape” mean to you?
Escape to me means feeling free and having the time to dream and enjoy all the things in life we are usually too busy for.
3. Do you have a summer ritual?
My summer ritual is doing a nice road trip to the South of France with my fiancé and dog Maple. She loves to join us!
4. Where is it you escape to habitually for true downtime?
I really enjoy going to Bali yearly. The easy way of travel, the magical feeling the island gives me and just the complete pampering, daily yoga and amazing food makes me feel brand new every time.
5. How long have you been visiting this place, and what draws you to it?
I have been going to Bali for almost twenty years.
6. What about the best to: Do, see, stay, eat and drink at this particular escape?
The Como Shambhala Estate. Just divine!
7. Who are your favorite summer escape travel partners and why?
My fiancé. We love the same things: nice restaurants, beautiful beaches and meeting friendly people.
8. What’s a new summer escape you embarked on this summer?
I just came back from Porto. If you love to eat and drink delicious wine from the Douro Valley, I highly recommend it!
9. What’s your ultimate escape soundtrack?
My latest Spotify playlist on RAE Antwerp.
10. What about this summer’s reading?
Pride and Prejudice, again.
