Esra when did you escape? I try to escape every occasion! Even just for 2 days… But my real escape was to South Africa in May. Going to a different culture, different world meant a lot for me.
What was the purpose of your travel? Always leisure…
With how many people did you travel? Just the two of us…
Where did you stay? Camps Bay Retreat in Cape Town, Singita Lebombo Lounge in Kruger Park and Athol Place in Johannesburg.
What did you most like about the trip? In Cape Town enjoyed the food and wine. And in Kruger Park the nature was breathtaking.
Could you share an unforgettable memory about the trip? Safari experience was unforgettable. We saw all the big five in 24 hours!
Your most surprising find during the trip? Although I am not a jewelry person, I could not stop myself buying hand made jewelry…
Favorite restaurant or food you have tried during your trip? La Colombe, The Roundhouse in Cape Town, Codfather in Camps Bay and Cube Tasting Kitchen in Johannesburg…
What is the must tries of the city? Food and wine… Not only the taste but presentation is also unique.
Any hidden gems you could whisper to us? The boutique in Singita Lebombo is really a hidden gem.
Would you go back? Always!
Could you list a few of your favorite finds you came back with? These can be anything from traditional finds to airport finds to hotel creams! Africology spa products. I bought all the collection including hair products.
Any tips that might be useful to know before going there? Natural beauty, wildlife, great food, good weather, rainbow nation, adventure… South Africa is really legendary. Mountains, forests, coasts and deserts will feast your eye and lift your spirit…
