Born in 1985, Fatih Tutak, chef and owner of TURK Fatih Tutak, went to Bolu Mengen Culinary School for professional education and did his apprenticeship under French chef Paul Pairet in Turkey. The Turkish chef then took on Asia and worked in Qingdao, Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore where he learned about Asian cuisine.

After working with culinary giants such as Seiji Yamamoto in three-Michelin-starred Nihonryori Ryugin in Tokyo, and Rene Redzepi in two-Michelin-starred Noma in Copenhagen, he became the Head Chef of The House of Sathorn in Bangkok, Thailand. Two years later, he was appointed as the Director of Culinary Operations, bringing the restaurant international recognition. After being named among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2017 and 2018, The House of Sathorn also received a Michelin Plate in Michelin Guide Thailand 2018.

Making a name for himself with his take on Turkish dumplings, “manti”, which he called “From My Mom”, Chef Fatih Tutak returned to Turkey in December 2019 to fulfill his lifelong dream of opening a restaurant. He is now the chef and owner of TURK Fatih Tutak in Istanbul, sharing his culinary offerings with the world.
